What are the requirements for the 407 visa?

To qualify for the 407 visa, one must meet the following requirements:

 

  • Must be sponsored by an approved temporary activities sponsor.

 

  • Your sponsor must nominate you for training unless they are an Australian Commonwealth Government agency.

 

  • You must be at least 18 years old.

 

  • If you are applying onshore (from Australia), you must hold a valid substantive visa (excluding subclass 403, 771, or Special Purpose visa). Please note that you must apply within 28 days of your previous visa expiring or after a visa cancellation decision.
